Ground

The story

I'd been vibe-coding a lot more lately, and I started noticing more eye strain than usual. I'd heard about the 20-20-20 rule, every twenty minutes, look at something twenty feet away for twenty seconds. I was talking to my partner about it, thinking about what if I made something for that.

As I started pulling on that thread, everything just started happening on its own. What I actually wanted wasn't just a reminder to rest my eyes. It was something that invites me into deeper contact with myself. To actually reground, to come back to myself for as long as I need, before going back to work.

I started bringing in all the different things I love. Inquiry questions, poetry, koans, practices from traditions I've been shaped by. And what started out as something to minimize eye strain turned into, honestly, a practice.

Because how many of us actually try out the exercises we save? How many of us sit with the questions we collect? We gather all these beautiful things and then never make space for them.

Ground fits into your life rather than asking you to fit your life into it. It just shows up, sits with you, and goes on its way.
